Final Reflection 2
1. How do you think your English writing skills have improved after completing this Wix e-portfolio? (You can talk about your improvement in these aspects: vocabulary, grammar, writing skills, motivation and confidence in writing, and interaction with peers.)
I gained a lot of experience of exchanging ideas with peers. Throughout the term, I have learned a lot from the writings of others.
2. What do you think about creating the Wix e-portfolio for the final essay drafts?
It was interesting. Although I did not spend much time on the design of final essay drafts, I think posting them on Wix is a way to make our essays friendlier to read.
3. What do you think about creating the Wix e-portfolio for journal writing and commenting?
It brought lives to our words. To me, writings in any forms and genre should be encouraged. I really appreciate that we can have a space to be created and be ourselves.
4. Do you think that journal writing should be conducted in the same way as essay writing (i.e., Draft 1, peer review, Draft 2, conferencing, and Draft 3 on Wix)? Why or why not?
No, definitely not. When journals are produced in the same way as formal essays, I do not think I will have the motivation to write them. I suppose it will be more effective if people are encouraged to start writing instead of writing well.
5. What did you benefit from TA feedback after you posted each final essay draft and journal on your Wix e-portfolio? (TA feedback was presented via Excel file and PPT slides).
To be honest, I learned little much from the feedbacks related to Wix. Most of the feedbacks are the basics of visual design and I think design also depends on personnal preferences. I deeply appreciate TA's efforts on checking everyone's work but I did not benefit much from it.
6. What did you benefit from conducting self-assessment and peer-assessment of the Wix e-portfolio in the second semester?
I learned a lot from these assessments and discovered places to improved by looking at others' works.
7. How did this Wix e-portfolio enhance your skills other than writing?
I am more familiar to visual design and settings of Wix.
8. Overall, what did you benefit from creating and managing this Wix e-portfolio? How is it different from uploading your assignments on ecourse2?
I am not annoyed by managing Wix anymore and I can share a lot of things that I am interested in with more people. I really like the interations with people on Wix.
1. What difficulties have you encountered in terms of creating and editing your Wix e-portfolio over these two semesters?
I was easily annoyed because my laptop could not handle Wix.
2. Among all the difficulties mentioned above, what was the most challenging one? How did you handle this challenge?
I coped with the problem and gave myself pep talks since I do not have enough money to buy a new laptop.
3. Will you continue to use or write posts on this Wix e-portfolio in the future? Why or why not?
I will consider writing something since it is fun and I can record anything.
